Like the Netflix DVD rental service subscription to Blockbuster Online, GameFly sends games to subscribers across the United States Postal Service re-mailing, advertising pre-paid (not U.S. residents are not eligible for service, such as GameFly does not ship overseas). The subscriber can keep the games as long as you want, while paying the monthly fee, although the number of games is limited by the type of subscription plan chosen by the subscriber. In addition, the user can create a queue, known as the "GameQ" up to 50 games. Returning the game GameFly distribution center, GameFly automatically sends the next set of "GameQ", making the cyclical process time that the user is a subscriber and updates to its "GameQ." Customers typically expect delivery of their games requested within 2-5 days of shipment. If the disk game received or cartridge is damaged or unplayable for any reason, or if the wrong game was received, the customer can return it for a replacement or have the order a day in their rental queue sent instead.
Subscribers can also purchase selected pre-played games at a reduced price if they choose keep the game, in which case the instruction booklet for the event and later by mail. Non-subscribers can also buy games, but not at a discounted price offered subscribers.
The process is managed online, where the user must provide a credit card as payment and means of verification.
In addition, outlets such as Best Buy offers prepaid versions of GameFly for new subscribers, where you pay a month for two months of service, and certificates Gift can be sent to family and friends.
