Shopping Mall Washington Dc

I'm moving to Dallas what the best cities to move north or northeast of Dallas?
I've been training in Plano and other cities within passing. My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's, very well established. So, affordability wise, we're open to anything. I like to save a dollar or two in particular will think I'm moving from the Washington DC metro area where I've gotten pretty used at a very high standard of living! Must not crazy trips to downtown or city (Dallas), since I am a computer engineer who works from home and travels every month within the region. I, however want to be close to entertainment and nightlife. Restaurants, bars, shopping malls, great shopping! Oh, I want a nice area that is culturally diverse.
Therefore, you have seen Plano, which is a pretty big city:) Frisco is right next to Plano, and also quite large. Both of them are really nice, with a wide range of housing costs and lots of shops and restaurants. To the west, just north of Plano (at 75) are Allen (50,000) and McKinney (150,000) who have more than a "small town" feel, although the lots are smaller. Lucas (5000) and Fairview (8000) are between Allen and McKinney and have many large and beautiful new homes, although a little more expensive there. At the border of Allen & Fairview, there are 2 apartments HUGE / shop / restaurant / complex hotel and convention center under construction (the people to open Allen 08.10, the Town of Fairview will open in spring 09), so whatever you want soon will be living there, plus there's a large mall in high-output 75 and Stacy too. These are all about 30 min. Dallas center (if no traffic during peak hours – although the surface streets are also available.) It's a little less congested in the Allen area (outside 75) which is in Frisco / Plano of 121 …. But the above are wonderful places to live with relatively little crime …. Welcome to Texas!
