Shopping Mall Quito
Going to Quito,Ecuador and need some help!?
I am going to quito in march and im looking for shopping malls,amusement parks or interesting places in ecuador can u help me or put some links!
Well, I don’t really have any shopping malls or amusement parks in Quito to recommend, but I do have other attractions. Mitad del Mundo is pretty close to Quito and a fun attraction. They take you around their little “pueblo” and show you cool experiments that only work because you’re in the middle of the world (on the equator). The teleferiqo is also cool…it’s like a lift that takes you way up in the mountains and you have a gorgeous view of the city. It only costs a couple of dollars and can take up a few hours. If you go, be sure to bring a sweatshirt because it gets pretty cold with the wind. Colonial Quito is very nice as well, with lots of old buildings, beautiful architecture and good people watching.
For longer trips, you could go to Mindo which is a cloud forest about 2 hours from Quito. It’s beautiful and you would only need a day or two there. You could go horseback riding, rafting/tubing (depending on the season), go to the mariposeria (butterfly sanctuary), orquideria (orchid gardens), hiking around the tropical rain forest, or go tree gliding.
