Shopping Mall Phoenix Az
What should I expect first time to Scottsdale, AZ?
Last time we went to downtown Phoenix was a bit disappointed coz it was literally nothing’s going on there and no shopping whatsoever except a very small shopping mall around the corner.
This time we are going to stay at Scottsdale, I’ve heard it’s difference than Phoenix??
I will be going from 10/11/08 to 10/13/08 just the long weekend. Didn’t wanna spend too much on the hotel so we are gonna stay at the Double Tree Paradise Valley Resort. Do you know anything about this hotel? I know it’s not the best best, but o well at least it’s 4 stars, I hope it won’t be disappointed..
Can you tell me what should I expect, and what I must do over there?
I won’t have a car.

But I thought that they have trolleys around that area?
Since I will be there only for 2 days, I think I might just stay at old town area and go to the fashion mall.
So do you think that without a car would still do?
You are talking about the Scottsdale Trolley, which does a run between downtown Scottsdale attractions and area hotels. I think the Doubletree PV is on the list but you might call the hotel just to check. Sometimes a hotel will have a complimentary shuttle to take you within 2 miles of the resort, and you can always get a cab.
Downtown Scottsdale has fabulous shopping and restaurants that are brand new – the “waterfront” area especially. The new W hotel has a swanky new restaurant that you will need a reservation for but there are a lot of others too. The hotel’s concierge can help you find fun things to do – the Fashion Square Mall is huge, but it won’t likely have any stores you can’t find in your own local mall. See if you can get to the Kierland and/or Biltmore areas where there are a lot of nice shops and are not too far from your hotel. When you come it will be really nice outdoors so consider a hike, horseback riding, golf and/or a jeep or hummer tour.
