How is the public transport in New Orleans, LA?

I will be in New Orleans between 12-21 Nov … I don’t have a car so wanted to check how the public transport in New Orleans is?

I am staying near French quarters and I would like to visit shopping malls especially Oakland shopping mall, Manhattan Shopping mall, Walmart, and lake shore shopping mall.

Can anyone tell me the best way to travel between these places using public transport. a map of public transport routes and schedule will be great.

Public transit in New Orleans is good to fair, depending on where you need to go.

There is a WalMart not far from downtown and you can get to it via public transit:

Walmart Supercenter Store #5022
1901 Tchoupitoulas St
New Orleans, LA 70130
(504) 522-4142

Oakwood & Manhattan are on the other side of the river from downtown. You can get there from downtown by public transit, but it is not convenient. Taking a taxi or renting a car would be better.

Lakeside shopping center is also outside the downtown area. Getting to it via public transit is not as inconvenient as Oakwood/Manhattan, but it would be easier to take a taxi or rental car.

All of the shopping centers offer free parking for customers.
