If the terrorists "hate us for our freedom", why not attack the things that really represent our freedom?
extremists Islamic supposedly attacked us because "They hate our freedom," however, here is what they attacked. These are the things that represent the strength political, military and United States economic, not our freedom. Marine barracks in Lebanon in 1983. World Trade Center in 1993 and 2001. Kobar Tower in Saudi Arabia in 1996. U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998. USS Cole in 2001, the Pentagon and White House bid in 2001. If they hate us for our freedom, why have not attacked or targeted things like movie theaters, art museums, shopping (yes, there is one at the WTC, but I do not think they were after that), or strip clubs. Why not attack Las Vegas and Hollywood on 9 / 11? Or if the case of New York, why the World Trade Center and Times Square or Carnegie Hall and Broadway theaters?
Because they do not "hate freedom" – they are ideologues who believe that we and our way of life is poor. Are extreme fundamentalists who are out on the fringe.
