Tropical Vacation on a Budget

If you can not afford to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation in the Caribbean after Splash Lagoon in Erie Pennsylvania is the place for you. I came across this gem by accident trying to find a city near me that sells Powerball lottery tickets. It was a coincidence.

Splash Lagoon is the last indoor water park. What could be more than 400,000 gallons of splashing water at 84 degrees F, while the air around you 86F is maintained in a vapor? There is a beautiful lazy river that can cruise around a single or double tube (no additional cost to the use of tubes unlike many water parks.) Splash Lagoon has 7 slides and 3 wild and crazy giant hot tubs, one for adults only. Splash Lagoon has an area for the little kiddies also called mono Island shines with small slides and a shallow pool. They also provide life jackets for the kids again at no additional cost. Here you can play basketball water in the large pool or climb the tree house Tiki and enjoy the unwary down with a large number of water cannons and sprinklers.

The most fun comes when the doorbell when Tiki is heard and bring people into the bucket turning monstrous for the opportunity to have a thousand gallons of water poured over them.

A Once they enter the lake that really need not go to closing. There is an ice cream, dippin dots. La Laguna Grill serves burgers and fries and pizza and beer. There are changing rooms with showers and towels are complimentary for guests staying at one of the hotels are connected to the lagoon. And most importantly for parents who want to stay dry while their descendants in turn to prunes in water is a dry area where you can sit inside the park.

There are four hotels associated with Splash Lagoon. The Residence Inn by Marriott, The Express by Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn and are all connected to the lagoon so you do not need to be refrigerated range from a room in the park. Also Econolodge there is the other side of the street and offers a shuttle again. If you book a hotel package tickets for the water park is included as breakfast in all four of these hotels.

If you need more entertainment than this is not a gallery and a surf shop and all the laser tag same property. Several local restaurants such as Applebee's offer to those hotels, without charge for delivery.

Wherever they come from what you have take I-90 and exit onto Peach Street. Splash Lagoon is right at the start and impossible to ignore. The address is 8100 Peach St. Erie, PA.

The second best thing about Erie, PA is no sales tax on clothing. That's nothing, nothing, nada, zero. Whoohoo. The Millcreek Mall has all the shops you need to stock your linen closet. sales tax on other items is only 6 percent.

And a beach too. And if that's not enough to have to pack your suitcase after Erie one more thing for you. Beautiful Lake Erie, where rent swimming, fishing, canoeing and diving boat available. These are all there to enjoy during the summer months. You can rent a bike or surrey for two people.

Erie is an incredible source of fun for you. Called Discover Presque Island. Occurs only Once a year, in July, a local festival held in Presque-island state park where parking is free and divine food. Treats such as corn cooked kettle corn is very real kettle cooked fresh sweet spot got plenty. Freshly squeezed lemonade, grilled chicken and fries. I could go on, but the message / This festival is a gustatory delight.

After all the food and the excitement of the evening head to the beach is right there. A beach clean sand awaits rescue sugar.

Day passes for Splash Lagoon is 40 percent cheaper if you get yours after 4pm, the park is open until 9 or 10 pm depending on the day.

If you do not mind staying in a hotel that does not depend on the park you can get a decent hotel room on priceline under $ 50.
