Camera Underwater Housing
Help finding a decent price digital camera with underwater housing?
I'm looking for a digital camera that takes good pictures on water (as I love taking pictures in general), but also has an underwater housing, so you can take photos on the dives. Preferably at least 3-5x optical zoom and 10.7 million pesos for a decent price. Any suggestions? I had been looking at the Olympus Stylus 1010 … but the underwater housing are recalled, it is very strange … Well, I would the zoom above the earth, perhaps an Olympus 1030 SW? (You can go underwater to take pictures only in aquariums, swimming or snorkeling) and I always could get accommodation for deeper dives? Hmm … Thanks!
Ikelite, Light and Movement, Aqualand, Sea & Sea, Olympus (limited depth) and Nikon (Nikonos line) make housing either camera or camera combinations that can be used for underwater photography. Personally, I use a Nikonos V is designed for U / W, but you can get some good home (I especially like the light and the movement of my digital Nikon because it is capable full function). You do not want to capture underwater … want wide angle, macro or a fixed 35 mm. Zoom lenses do not work well with depth … the blue color of water to a depth of more the powers of matter and the clouds image. In addition, the distances underwater flash is ridiculously limited and require serious outputs to produce an illumination decent color.
