Will a dell laptop purchased in Canada work efficiently in the USA? Please help thank you!?

I will be purchasing a dell laptop via online off the canadian site. Now Iam living in nyc and will be using the laptop in the US. I can only buy the laptop from canada because iam planning on financing and I can’t do it with the american carrier because I don’t have a line of credit. I just need to know because iam not at all computer savy, will my laptop function properly here in the states things like wi fi and setting up an internet connection warranty and whatever els. Please shine some light on this issue of mine thank you it will be much appreciated!
