I been talking to this girl online for few days and I ask her if I can see her on Cam so I know her photos are real not fake or old. She told Me that she had no cam and that one there would cost 100,00 USD. I told her I would go to Walmart to buy her one for 20 USD and send it to her then she told Me that Bad People would take the mail. I never been to Jamaica just was thinking maybe go there for Holiday and Meet this person. Just want to know if her story sounds true or not or she just want Me send her 100 USD
Some things the girl say are true : Things do cost more in JA. The post office workers will steal things they think are valuable. And the 100 she wants would pay for a nice webcam.
Some things are not true..or maybe : Although a webcam could reasonably cost 100, your 20 cam plus duty of 20 and 20 to ship is only 60 total, 40 less than the 100 she wants. Plus this may be an old lady, an old man, a young boy, you have no idea who it is…a family member thats a female could be the name she’s giving you. Its not unusual for the family to be involved in a scam to get your money. I guarantee if you send 100 now, it’ll only be another week before an “emergency” comes along and she needs more. And you think YOU are the ONLY one she chats with online ? Chances are you’re one of many, all sending her the 100. Even if you spoke with her on the phone to verify her being real, it doesn’t mean its not a scam.
My advice is to ignore her request to send her money. If she is REAL and you go to meet her, you can explain your apprehension at that point and she’ll understand. Anyway, its very rude for a girl to be asking money from a stranger she met online for only a few days ! Thats a begger you do not need in your life !
